As the quote truly says that there will be no fun or encouragement in achieving the things without striving, I have always believed in trying and trying until I reach to my destination. There can be failure but there would never be any disappointment of not-trying.

Bhubaneswar is known as land of Temples and truly, has some of the oldest and magnificent temples of their times. Muktesvara Temple is one such example that was built in 10th century and dates before Rajarani Temple. Muktesvara Temple is known for its elegant design which was under experimentation in earlier times. Muktesvara Temple is a prominent tourist destination in Odisha (previously Orissa). Lord Shiva is the primary deity worshipped in this temple. Muktesvara, from its very name, means “Lord of Freedom” and is dedicated to the Hindus most powerful deity- Lord Shiva. Freedom in itself is the most prestigious thing one would like to preserve. The location and ambience of the temple are very soothing, nurturing and elegant at the same time. Not only is the temple known for the design but also for some of the traditions associated. Muktesvara Temple, Bhubaneshwar also has sculptures of God Ganesha and Goddess Saraswathi. Lakulisha, regarded as the founder of the Pashupata sect is also worshipped here. Yoga-India’s new pride is also associated with this temple in many ways. There are many sculptures carven on walls of the temple which depict Lakulisha performing Yoga and the mudras like Bhumispara, Yogapatta and Vyakyana. There is a belief that if a barren woman on the night before Ashokastami car festival takes a holy dip in the Madicha Kund, she gives birth to a son. To uphold these traditional beliefs, the holy water of the Kunda is also distributed to the public on the festival’s evening. Lord Shiva or Muktesvara is also known for his spectacular and majestic dance forms and so, there is a three day Muktesvara Dance Festival organized in the temple premises by the State Government. I developed a craze for this traditional dance through the festival, and it was enthralling than in any of the dance movies I have seen.
Muktesvara Temple is a place everyone should visit. Not only the traditional practices are kept intact here but also a remarkable feature- the essence of divine freedom could be felt at this temple. Everyone visiting Bhubaneswar should visit this place; as missing it is like missing the divine freedom- expressed here as Lord Muktesvara. About Trident Hotel Bhubaneswar : I planned a trip to Bhubaneswar and was confused about where to stay. I finally chose the Trident Hotel because it is so famous for its services. I was not disappointed after my stay. The services were certainly very good and it served as a good base to visit all the tourist destinations.
Udayagiri Caves are the most attractive caves i have ever visited. These caves are partly mam made and partly natural making them extremely potential to attract numerous tourists; especially the Jain monks, scholars and disciples. Udayagiri Caves are famous in Odisha because of their archaeological importance. The Udayagiri caves are furthermore complemented by the Khandagiri caves present on the Khandagiri Hills. The presence of these adjacent hill slopes with caves brings natural beauty to the whole environment and is worth watching. These caves were built under the supremacy of King Kharavela. Udayagiri Hills as the name suggests means the ‘Sunrise Hill’- which adds to the elegance of this serene landscape and i was simply elated visiting the place. These caves were built as residential blocks for Jain monks of those times and, therefore, have an aesthetic look. There is a total of 18 caves- comprising of the Udayagiri cave range. Ranigumpha Cave present in the Udayagiri Caves, Bhubaneshwar is a famous tourist attraction because of its double-storey architectural design. These caves served as a monastery for Jain ascetics in ancient times. Udayagiri along-with Khandagiri Hills is referred to as Kumari Parvat in the famous Hathigumpha inscription. In King Kharavela times, these caves were known as lena. There are several inscriptions in Brahmi inside the caves; most popular being the Hathigumpha inscription. The 18 caves comprise of the Ranigumpha, Chota Hathigumpha, Jaya-vijayagumpha, Ganeshagumpha, Rosaigumpha, Dhanagharagumpha, Mancapurigumpha, Panasagumpha among several others. These caves are famous amongst the Jain community and attract visitors not only from India but also from SAARC countries and others like Myanmar, Bhutan, Thailand, etc. These caves at the Udayagiri Hills are extensively carved and have several sculptures. Some of them are famous for their art treasures, historical importance and reliefs. The Udayagiri caves are maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Women, elephants, flowers, geese and athlete carvings make the caves’ ambience even more worthwhile. If one wants to visit the hills with nicely carved sculptures than Udayagiri Caves are a good option. In Bhubaneswar, this place is a famous tourist destination. Caves with beautiful sculptures would count to be a nice memory of the this Temple City of India, which is Bhubaneswar in Odisha. I am a nature enthusiast and a vintage book reader so I enjoyed each bit of these caves. This beautiful dish always reminds me of the sumptuous taste of Kerala. The dish is prepared with a beautiful orchestra of chicken, ginger, soaked rice and many more ingredients. I have tried this many a times at home, but it is always tastier if ordered from a good hotel. It is a very popular breakfast in Kerala.
Dhauli Hills, Bhubaneshwar has thus witnessed both the bloodthirsty warriors and the quest for peace. Several rock edicts, stupas, pillars and the chaityas were built around and on the Dhauli Hills; so that Buddhism and through it, peace could be propagated. Shanti Stupa is a remarkable monument that has the best and most sought after thing to offer- peace. Several remarkable edicts and Buddha sculptures could be seen at these Hills with sculptures of Lions- representation of Ashoka Empire. Moreover, the Dhauli Hills has a famous Lord Shiva Temple, which attracts masses during the Shiv Ratri celebrations. This temple further adds to the quest for peace and salvation for which Lord Shiva is known. Dhauli Hills is a peaceful place, located away from the hustle-bustle of cities and serves the very purpose it is known for.
This place is visited by several Buddhist monks around the year while there are massive gatherings at the temple for celebrations and traditional events. The Dhauli Hills is a famous place to visit after the war. Several explorers, historians, students and monks could be easily spotted. Moreover, there is a sculpture marvel of Peace Pagoda built in the 1970s. Various other spectacular caves, sculptures, inscriptions and temples are located at the Dhauli Giri Hills giving it a serene landscape. Bhubaneswar finds its much historical glory from these Dhauli Giri Hills. This is a must visit location for all those who have gone through depressing events in their lives; as it shares one of the worst known War experiences in history. I was at peace too after a visit to these hills. This place has much to offer along with peace, beauty and glory it brought to the historic India. Thus, Dhauli Giri Hills is a must tour when visiting Bhubaneswar. Description : We were told that the beautiful and serene Anusupa Lake was a part of the great Mahanadi River which flows through Odisha. The lake was dotted with long legged graceful flamingos which were a beauty to look at. One flock just flew over our heads and it was a sight I would never forget.
Bhubaneswar, also known as the ‘Temple City of India’ has various temples panning across the mainland but one notable amongst all of these is the Rajarani Temple. On enquiring more, i found out that this temple is believed to be built around the same time as that of Jagannath Temple at Puri and has a unique ambience. The exterior design of the Rajarani Temple is one of its kind and too erotic for any temple in India. The primary deity worshipped here is Lord Shiva and thus the exteriors have the Lord Nataraja, Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and the nayikas. Rajarani Temple, Bhubaneshwar is supposed to be built sometime between 11th-12th centuries and is best known for its architectural beauty. The name Rajarani comes itself from the name of the stone it is built of. This temple is a perfect example of divine craftsmanship that has been put into reality on the dull-red, yellow stone. The beautiful cravings of women and couples on the walls and exteriors of the temple have credited it the name of the “Love Temple”, originally known as Indreswara left me awestruck. The temple is built on a raised platform and follows the pnahcratha style. The roof is pyramidal in shape and has a curvilinear spire known as bada with sanctum- vimana in the centre. Primarily there is no sculpture of any deity in the sanctum, yet is believed to be a Lord Shiva Temple from the exteriors and the Nataraja. Moreover, the presence of Naga and the Nagini at the narrow entrance has led to this conclusion. The name in itself is very peculiar for any temple in the whole of Bhubaneswar; followed by the unique and beautiful in-depth cravings on the exteriors. Due to its uniqueness, the Rajarani Temple is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Various cultural and classical music festivals are also arranged in the temple premises. I liked frolicking along the corridors of this pristine monument.
Rajarani temple offers a very blissful combination of divinity and eroticism; one can ever find in any of the temples pan India. This temple is admirable, unique, very beautiful with its distinctive craven sculptures and is a must visit. The Temple City of India i.e. Bhubaneswar remains unexplored without visiting this temple- truly a “Love Temple”. During my mid-year visit to the ‘city of temples’, I was confused about choosing my place of stay. Running down through numerous travel portals and looking for packages, one hotel caught my eye. This was the hotel of the HHI group that is truly famous for its luxury and world class amenities. I even found certain discounts on the hotel through the best hotel deal app. Therefore, keeping in mind my budget as well as my requirements, I finalised my stay at this hotel. Reaching, Bhubaneswar through flight at around two p.m. I checked in at the hotel around 3. The hotel had a contemporary look and was designed beautifully. I was welcomed in with great hospitality and was allotted a standard room. It did not take much time and the hotel guys were kind enough to get my baggage into the room. But to my great surprise, the standard room was big enough and probably spread over an area of over 300 sq. ft. I was surprised to find such a room at a low cost. The room had an ultra-modern look and LED TV as well as a mini bar. Apart from this, the entire hotel had Internet connectivity. I placed my baggage on the shelf and rested on a comfortable armchair for a while. From the room, one could view a beautiful lawn as well as the pool. I ordered my breakfast to my room and in no time my food was delivered. Then just looking around the hotel I found there was a fitness centre and also the facility of the spa. There was a grand banquet hall accompanied by a musical band from Malaysia. Also, there was an option of a conference hall where corporate meetings could be held. I was happy to know about the travel packages that the hotel offered as it had links to one of the travel agencies. Hence, all this made my travelling across Bhubaneswar cheaper and comfortable. Hotel Hindustan International Bhubaneswar is the best option for staying in the city, as well as located in a prime location, it is easily accessible.
Summarization : The Shanti Stupa was 7 km from the city of Bhubaneswar and it was one of the best tourist attractions we visited. The monument is beautifully built and was painted white in color. The color is supposed to reflect the peace and serenity of the building as told by our guide.
