Summarization : Gautam Buddha in this quote tells us that every human being is governed by his thoughts and all the things in his life is the fruits of his thoughts. Therefore we should take care to think wisely and also take things in a very positive and wise manner. We can conquer the world by our thoughts and that is not a small thing by any measures!

We had a vacation of your lifetime at Goa. The beautiful sun – kissed beaches, the magnificent monuments, the soulful temples and the amazing collection of flora and fauna at the Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary were some of the best places I have ever visited. Now it was time for us to pack our bags and get back to your daily schedules. But before we left there was one last tourist attraction we didn’t want to miss. So we set foot towards the Dudhsagar Waterfall that is located amidst the high peaks of the Western Ghats. This famous waterfall attracts tourists in huge numbers every year. Especially the sight of this giant waterfall during the monsoons when the water flows in its full fury is something that cannot be expressed in words. If you watch this waterfall from a distance it seems like streams of milk rushing down the mountains hence the name suggests ‘Dudhsagar. This masterpiece of nature is located in the Sanguem taluka in Goa and is easily commutable from all parts of the city. The Dudhsagar Waterfall is a mighty natural entity that measures around 600 meters. The sound of the enormous volume of water gushing with all its force from such height is truly breathtaking. The water when hits the tip of the mountain it seems like clouds of milky white foam emerging from below the waterfalls. Thus the waterfall is also known as Konkani which means ‘sea of milk’.
Apart from the inexpressible beauty of the waterfall its location adds on to its charm. The lush green valley that surrounds this mighty waterfall is carpeted with tropical vegetation. The pristine atmosphere of the Dudhsagar waterfalls draws nature lovers from all parts of the globe. There are a number of private travel organizers who offer trips to this location. The spot is also recognized as a tourist hotspot by the GTDC. We spent a couple of hours enjoying the immense beauty of this place and then headed towards the Goa Marriott Resort to collect our luggage. It was a truly amazing trip and the memories of it would linger on in our minds for years to come. Sanna Dish : We all have a dish of our choice that we like most and can eat at any given time of the day. One such dish for me is Sanna dish. Along with my madness for exploring new destinations, visiting spiritual place and knowing about the history of that place, I have always been curious to taste different cuisines. This Sanna dish is spongy and steamed rice cakes that would surely appease your taste buds.
After we had visited a number of architectural delight and places of religious significance in Goa we decide to take a trip in the arms of nature. Hence we all headed towards the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary in Goa. I am a nature lover and was thus quite eager to explore this tourist attraction. The sanctuary is a very famous tourist attraction and lies to the north of Panaji on the way to Belgaum. The Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary stretches over 240 square kilometres of land and the thick forests, and fully clad slopes of the Western Ghats full of lush green trees and shrubs offer a perfect home to a variety of flora and fauna. This place is a treat to the bird watchers. Goa comprises of a total of 4 protected wildlife regions but the Mahavir Sanctuary is the largest among all. The Molem National Park is also located inside this sanctuary. The park lies at a distance of merely 53 kilometres from Panaji and is easily accessible via public transport. Margao is situated just 54 kilometres away from this wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is vast enough to take around 2 to 3 days to explore it fully. There are a variety of animals that seek shelter in this sanctuary which include leopards, gaur, spotted deer, sambar, cobras, pythons, jungle cats, toris and Malayan giant squirrels etc. Families come to this sanctuary in large numbers to have a perfect vacation in the natural settings. Children love to be here and explore the mysteries of nature. You can also rent a private jeep to take a trip into the interior regions of this sanctuary. Nature lovers from all across the world come to the park to see the leopards, elephants and the Indian bison etc. The Devil’s Canyon is a famous view point in the sanctuary from where people enjoy watching the animals in their natural environs. The view from this site is truly breath taking. There are also a couple of good guest houses and cottages in Mollem arranged by the Directorate of tourism to serve the accommodation needs of vacationers who wish to stay close to the sanctuary.
Description : Gosh! The Notre Dame Des Miracles was simply amazing. The cultural and colonial beauty of Goa has always mesmerized me. I was lucky to witness it this spring. Even from a long distance this church looked stunning. Wished I could have taken a look inside. Next time I will not miss the chance!
Goa is an exotic tourist destination hence this place is always flooded with huge numbers of travellers, vacations etc. from all parts of the world. As a result of its importance as a popular tourism destination the hospitality services in the state have progressed in leaps and bounds over the recent decades. There are a number of hotels, resorts, guest houses, and bungalows etc. that are available to offer accommodation to tourists. However after much of research we decided to book our stay at the Goa Marriott Resort and Spa. The resort is well known for its hospitality and luxurious services. We wished to have a gala time at the resort and were looking forward to our stay there. This hotel is best suited for both leisure as well as business travellers. Located at a distance of merely 700 metres from the famous Miramar Beach in Goa this resort is preferred by most of the travellers who love to reside by the beaches. The resort also lies in close proximity to most of the major attractions of the city. For instance it is situated at around 1 kilometre from the Kala Academy, 4 kilometres from the Goa University and 4 kilometres from the Fort Aguada. Moreover the resort is well equipped with all the modern amenities to make the stay of its guests a memorable one. The hotel houses a ballroom, bar, lounge, banquet hall, coffee shop, swimming pool, full service spa, garden, conference hall and beauty services etc. The Casino Carnival of the Goa Marriott Resort is the main attraction for guests. The Waterfront Terrace and Bar is a pool side restaurant and bar that offers mouth watering delectable from all parts of Asia, Mediterranean and a host of India cuisines as well. There is also a marvellous cake shop in the hotel premises that serves fresh baked pastries, cakes, light snacks and burgers. Kids love to have a bite at this in – house cake shop of the Marriott Resort and Spa. There are no words to describe the bluishness of the Bogmallo Beach. Day spent here was the best part of my Goa trip. The golden sands, bluish ocean and the thriving emerald flora around the beach gave me a feeling of being in the most colorful beach. It was an ideal setting for a pleasant evening.
We were having a gala time in Goa enjoying at the exotic beaches, the amazing historical monuments, and pious temples etc. The Se Cathedral, the Shantadurga temple and the St Augustine tower were some of the architectural delights that we visited at Goa. Now we were running out of time and there was still so much to explore in this heritage city. So we tried to cover as many popular tourist attractions as possible. The next destination that we set foot to on out Goa trip was the Shri Manguesh temple located at Priol in the Ponda taluka, Panaji. This temple is one of the most famous holy places of worship for the Hindu community in Goa. Tourists from all parts of the country come to offer their devotion to the presiding deity lord Shiva. The temple lies merely at a distance of 21 kilometres from the capital city Panaji. Due to the existence of this famous monument the surrounding area is also referred as Mangueshi. This place of sanctity draws its roots from long back in history. In the ancient era this temple was located in Cortalim. A number of Hindu temples were ravaged during the Portuguese invasion in Goa to steer clear of the same fate the devotees removed the idol of lord Shiva or the Shiva Linga from this temple and placed it at Priol where the present day Manguesh temple is erected.
Since its construction in the year 1560 when the linga was moved to its present location the temple have undergone renovation a couple of times. The Manguesh temple in Goa was last renovated in the year 1973. Since then this ancient structure has stood the tests of time and maintained itself as a cherished heritage of the city. The ancient architecture of this monument is awe – inspiring. It presents a perfect blend of the Christian, Hindu and muslim styles of architecture. The Jatra is a famous religious event that is held annually from this temple premises. During the Jatra in the month of January the temple is majestically lit up and its beauty is unexplainable in words. Thousands of devotees of Lord Shiva flock to this temple to be part of this mega event. |
