A memorable day passed on with divine spiritual beliefs and adventurous and retreating excursions, both having its own importance and confronting memories to my mind. My place of accommodation was an actual bliss to my journey. All the staff members and hotel managements was so friendly and co-operative, and provided me with exclusive treatments to make the best use of my stay. They have been hugely helpful in escorting me to my commutes, through reliable travel agencies which was very complementing to a single traveler like me. This day, they had yet again been great service provider for arranging my conveyance to Araku Tribal Museum Visakhapatnam, a real depiction of tribal culture. A less commercialized and least populated tourist’s destination of the South India, Araku is the valley of inhabited varied tribes. The best time to visit this spot is the chilled winters with its temperature dropping down to almost four degrees. Araku Tribal Museum is situated in the covering area of Padmapuram Botanical Garden, which offers a sight of the tribal community’s life. It is a splendid work of the Indian artisans, constructed with clay and mud, consisting of the magnificent clay monuments depicting the day to day activities of the tribes in the best possible way. Varied artifacts exhibited in the museum include hunting tools, jewelley and kitchen appliances and utensils. A Tribal Art and Craft Centre are possessed by the museum to encourage excellent art of the prevailing tribe of the indigenous Eastern Ghats, where frequent exhibitions and workshops takes place. I was quite successful in housing the handicrafts item displayed in the museum for my intact memories of the visit. The accommodation facilities and the refreshment corners serving the traditional foods were outstanding and offered at a very reasonable rate. With all the amusing features and the replica of ancient tribes of India, Araku Tribal Museum Visakhapatnam reflects the traditional lifestyle and living standards of the native tribes. The museum has an objective of preserving the importance of original culture, fine arts and the handicrafts of the primitive tribes and the tradition. With no more of delays in my travelling I stepped forward to my next spot of visit, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park Visakhapatnam, an Eco-tourism hub of the district.
A travel lover I am, with always great expectations on my place of visit, though with intense fondness of location of religious beliefs, yet other adventures are no less lovable to me. The long massive walks to the Ashrams corridor has left me with great signs of fond memories but my expeditions usually counts on an all-rounding aspects, where forest life and its charm holds the priorities. Visakhapatnam is a place of extreme diversification. Apart from the booming industrial city, it forms a congenial blend of deep valleys, magical hills, forestry and golden beaches along the coastline of Bay of Bengal. I was thrilled with the till date travel experience and was yet more anxious to explore my next destination Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary Visakhapatnam. Located at a nearby distance from the main city, the sanctuary owns a dry evergreen forest mixed with meadows and shrubs. It’s a renowned abode of the rare species of flora endemics and fauna with varieties of monkeys, leopards, wild boat, barking and spotted deer and sambar. I had a remarkable and splendid experience of travelling around the forest reserve, riding on a horse. Being amidst the endangered species along with several emus, peacocks, deer gave a refreshing treat to my visit. A well known Eco- tourism park of Visakhapatnam has an additional advantage to the adventure seeker like me i.e.; trekking. An exposure to the sleep and gentle slopes and open and dense forest over a stretched 4.5 km area, along with the strenuous physical exercise, were the encountered experiences of that expedition. The all new environment offered a relaxed and soothing climate, breaking the monetary of my arduous life. Moreover, boating in a reservoir or feeling the movements and noises of the flock of birds and scintillating sound of water bodies from a specially designed watch tower adds to the tranquility of the ambience. A wonderful experience on the whole Kamalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary Visakhapatnam provided me with a rejuvenated life and sky touching excitements to travel to my next destination, Araku Tribal Museum Visakhapatnam, situated amidst the Araku Valley, a beautiful hill station in Visakhapatnam district along the Eastern Ghats.
About Borra Caves Visakhapatnam : I always wanted to visit the Borra caves in Visakhapatnam. Well, this time I did and had a wonderful time. These caves are huge and unique. You may find water flowing out of the rocks. I remember studying about the stalactites and stalagmites form in caves during my school days. This time I actually saw them and it was really cool.
Far from the usual chores of the home city, away from the hassle life, I was at a high point relaxation all through my trip. Though tight scheduled with strictness in depart time for a day long excursion, yet its experience was overwhelming and out of my imaginations. Till yet explorations had been made to the temples and sightseeing areas, but then it was the time for some relief giving and mental healing zones. Yes, nothing can be more peaceful than a visit to Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Visakhapatnam, a beautifully designed place, amidst the lush greenery with its structure in pink resembling the old worshipping places of South India. It was an easy accessible place just few minutes’ walk from the Ramakrishna Beach. The ambience was so peaceful and calm, suiting to the features of the Ashram, and driving the visitors to the world of Spiritualism. A huge prayer hall is generally filled with public for regular worships and meditation as well as spiritual rituals. Devotees are swayed with complete immersion in divine Meditation. It’s rightly been considered as a hub of rehabilitation and relieving activities. It tends to serve people being victimized by sudden calamities due to the freaks of nature or the follies of men, even the service been extended beyond borders. The methodology of relief are conducted following some key elements like indiscrimination of caste, color or creed, involvement of local people for implementations of specific programmes. Several activities that prevail in this spellbound atmosphere are functioning of a co- educational English Medium School, a Public Library offering periodicals and newspapers in a free reading room, a dispensary section especially for the cure of cerebral-palsied children and many more. Ramakrishna Mission Ashram | Image Resource : blog.rkmissionashrama.org/ Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Visakhapatnam caters maximum of the welfare work in terms of charity. It provides scholarships and medical aid to poor students seeking high education. Many recreational activities are also conducted like celebration of birthdays of the well known spiritual luminaries, hold exhibition and educational camp along with competitions and youth retreats. Being converted to a complete saint for the time being, I was all satisfied with such an adorable place and with all the memories intact, I headed towards my next place of visit, Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary Visakhapatnam, a dedication to my lust of forestry. Katiki Falls, Visakhapatnam : Reaching these falls is not a smooth journey. However, if you love trekking, hiking or adventure then you have to take a trip to Katiki falls . We had a wonderful time walking through the dense forest and experiencing the beauty of nature.
Identified for its sandy yet unspoiled beaches, Visakhapatnam is contemporarily nicknamed as Vizag. The penchant towards the newly derived name was one of the motivations of planning for a holiday in Vizag. Soon I found my hotel or say the beach resort at Beach Road. I was all alone for the first time so I chose staying at The Park Visakhapatnam to minimize the risk. You would love to know that the hotel is nestled lavishly at the beachside and all of its rooms are facing the waterfront. How enthralled was I knowing this? The immense Bay of Bengal was close to my eyesight. I couldn’t stop myself from being the part of hotels’ fine dining to have my first major meal, my lunch. Life keeps on giving us the surprises, but it is we, who fail to grab them or get delayed for the same. But this time delay and failure were at bay. I was full on open handed. I gobbled the food and relished it completely. Checking in was a short term and I was gushed in my allotted Deluxe room in no time. I sighed deeply as what did I see? It is the living room with a bedroom overlooking the sea and the lawns. The complimentary fruit silo on my desk was dazzling to capture my attention. Seating arrangement in the attached balcony was nailing me to the place to savor the rich aroma of The Park’s brisk coffee. Sometimes no matter how solitary you are but you enjoy every bit and piece of it. And indeed it is required at times when you get lost yourself in the worldly commitments. I was fortunate enough to get this priceless opening. Thank God! I was entirely in a mood of drifting the hotel and its premises. So I had a few minutes of power-nap to reenergize myself. It was late evening and I headed to visit the star hotel. I was amazed on the hotel's hospitality that its staffs are so well serving. God bless them. It was an overnight stay at the Park Visakhapatnam with the sweet dreams of the upcoming recreational.
Though being discreet from the bustling city, Tenneti Beach Park Visakhapatnam is well connected with local and private mode of transport. This was a big favor for me. Conveyance has always been the recognition of the city’s tourism. Excellent transport facilities survive in the city to support the tourism as well as serve the local dwellers. All of my three chosen places of interests are the portrayal of serenity and bliss. The thing I was wandering from few days was finally and profoundly acquired by me. Sometimes your own presence is enough to emerge out with the real you. It happened to me after a long interval of time and I took no risk to escape from it. I was there at the park by 5 pm riding through Vizag-Bheemli Road, where the park is deep seated in the lap of nature. Derived by the name of a great and gallantry freedom fighter, Tenneti Vishwanadham, the park is well preserved and distinct from the clatter of the city. The great ambience and tranquility of the park suits the grannies and couples, as the saying goes, but it equally bequeathed me with the peace. I strolled in the garden and unfurled some nature’s essence. The spectacular view of the cobalt blue waters of the Arabian Sea is simply breathtaking as if embracing all my inner chaos in minutes. The elevated park comprises of arresting natural features that attract swarms of visitors to have a quiet and peaceful evening in the countryside. Though situated in the bustling city, yet detached with the chaos and crowd is the rare and unique feature of the park. I spend some wonderful moments on the fences of the garden and recalled my happiest reminiscences of the yesteryears. The place is literary of that sort. The day was about to end and the dusk was about to unfold the quilt of darkness. I thought that it is better to get back to the hotel from Tenneti Beach Park Visakhapatnam at proper time. The city was entirely novel for me and I could not afford taking any risk of solitary. I moved ahead to pamper myself by the culinary of the hotel once again. Narration : We decided to check out the Rishikonda beach in Visakhapatnam. It took us a long drive to reach this beach. It is very far from the main city. However, it was all worth it because this beach is really beautiful and calming.
Being rich in cultural heritage and panoramic landscapes, Vizag is encountering boom in the sector of tourism. With a great history of British rule and nation’s bygone era the city emerged out with some places of interest that are informative and serene at the same time. I woke up completely relaxed. The mood was amplified and I took no time to freshen up for the Simhachalam Temple Visakhapatnam. I was grateful to the city who endowed me one of the finest moments of my solitary voyage. My further journey commenced with a rich continental breakfast at The Park’s restaurant and I was geared up with my accessories. The biddable managerial staff hired me a private cab and I transposed for the historical temple. Truth of heavenly bodies is sometimes mysterious. But fondling the same I entered the temple with a belief of having traces of God inside me. As said by the prodigy, the temple is the shrine of Lord Vishnu in the exemplification of Sri Narasimha Swami Varu. It is located at the height of 244 meters on the hilltop and built by King Krishnadevarayam in the 11th century. It remains populous during the season of Chandanotsavam Festival when devotees from all over the globe visit here. To see the Lord entirely covered with sandalwood, surfeit of pilgrims arrive here. I fetched the two hour trekking route from Madhavadhara side which was an outstanding episode of my travel. I turned around to see where I am. But it abscond me with my eyes wide opened! It was a stunning view of the calm city though it is described as the bustling one. The coin has two sides and so has the city. Known by the name of The Hill of the Lion, the temple has an astonishing fact. The idol appears like Shivalingam. The sandal paste covering the entire body is removed once in a year, hence calling swarms of devotees to worship the original image of the Lord. Visiting Simhachalam Temple Visakhapatnam was an added success to my unaccompanied drift to the place and it was high time to move further for Dolphin’s Nose.
