I am a pharmacist y profession and hence most of the times I am quite held up with my work. But despite my tied up schedule I make sure to take out time for my friends, family and myself. I love to travel to various places across the country as well as abroad so every now and then I squeeze out time to go on a trip to rejuvenate my mind and body. This vacation I planned a trip to the beautiful beaches of Goa.
As I prefer budget travel I generally travel via train or budget air carriers. The very first thing I needed to do was to plan my trip as I like things organized. I searched on the internet for all the available options to reach Goa and finally decided to take one of the Bangalore Goa trains for the trip. Two of my friends were also accompanying me and hence I felt it would be quite exciting to chit chat on the way and have a nice journey via train.
I booked the tickets online as it is a very hassle free and convenient way of making reservations. You can also go for the irctc app or popular travel websites to secure air or train tickets for any destination in India as well as abroad. I took the KCG YPR express to Goa for my trip. The train departed the Yesvantpur junction in Bangalore and dropped us at the Vasco Da Gama Railway station in Goa.
If you wish to take some other train from Bangalore to Goa you have a couple of other alternatives as well. There are around 13 weekly trains that connect the two regions. If you are planning to leave early you can go for the Vellankanni Vasco Da Gama express. This train leaves Bangalore at 7:32 am in the morning and the train number is 07316. You can also take the KCG Yesvantpur Junction express if you are planning to travel a bit late in the morning. This train leaves the Bangalore station at 9:45 am. However the last train between the two cities leaves at 10:30 pm. Its train number is 02683.
