We clicked a couple of pictures to keep the memories of our visit intact for years to come. Hereafter the next destination that we set foot towards was the Se Cathedral Goa. This is an ancient church and is renowned for its magnificent architecture. It is a mega structure and is the largest church in Asia. Hence the Se Cathedral is a tourist hotspot in the state.
The relics of St. Francis Xavier were also put on public display in this church. Due to its historic and architectural brilliance the Se Cathedral church has been declared as a world heritage monument by the UNESCO. Considered as one of the most pious and sacred monuments of the Christian community the Church is flocked by thousands of tourists from all parts of the globe.
The building comprises of 8 chapels and 15 altars. The interior portion of the church comprises of a nave that is 72 feet in dimension and two isles of 57 and a half feel each. The chapels of St. Bernard, St. Anthony, Cruz Dos Milagres and The Holy Ghost are also housed by this ancient place of worship.
